¡Ice creams!

Catalan speciality flavours

Catalonia has got all the ingredients for the very best gastronomy: land and landscapes as diverse as the traditional cuisine that has been passed from generation to generation, some of the best chefs in the world, and a wide variety of high-quality, seasonal products. That's why our chilled gastronomic selection is based on both local products and others welcomed in Catalonia. Shall we leave it to chance?

The frozen drink bar

Do you want to surprise with an original dessert? Are you the kind of person who tries to make room for dessert, but fills up on the appetiser? It's Friday and your body knows it, but you need to cool down? Our bar will solve the problems of anyone facing Monday as the start of the countdown to the weekend. Without a doubt, a midsummer night's dream come true.

Seasonal

Summer's here and, just as you can't bear a pair of jeans that go further than your thigh, the only things you feel like eating are chilled, right? It's the perfect season for ice cream lovers. You probably have one almost every day... why give up that pleasure when the cold begins to bite? Why deny yourself a scoop of happiness? What if your favourite autumn or winter flavours were chilled? Would you give them up?
In the Baboia workshop we don't just make ice cream for the high season – we make it all year round, adapting to the products that are in season and to festivities with the gastronomy related to them. Ice cream all year round!

Don't miss your chance to try our specials, available for a limited time only. Are you going to miss out?

Classic flavours

Classic doesn't mean boring at Baboia. We have a selection of signature fruit and vegetable, chocolate and walnut ice creams, and more traditional flavours, but they won't leave you unmoved. Which way will you spin the Baboia wheel?

Ice lollies

Simple, tasty and refreshing. Ice lollies: sorbets on a stick with a natural ingredient and no added flavours at all. Choose your taste based on the colour, or leave it to chance!

Did you know...

At Baboia we make them in an artisanal way, and they are the most refreshing way to take a walk around the neighbourhood, sit on a bench in Passeig del Born or head towards Parc de la Ciutadella, the gorgeous green lung of Barcelona.

Ice lolly has got a different name wherever you go in the world. For instance, in Mexico ‘paleta’, in some parts of Argentina and Brazil it is ‘picolé’, although in most of Argentina it is just ‘helado de agua’; in Venezuela, it is called ‘posicle’ and in Uruguay, 'palito' or ‘helado de agua’.
